Feedback 27/07/2010 - W.F. Rating Notes I would like to complain against the use of the Internet in our room. Signal very bad very often was out of order. 25/06/2010 - J.W.(United States of America) Rating Notes We enjoyed our stay there very much. The hotel is close to everything and we enjoyed walking around the city to reach our destination. The room for 4 people was quite small and hot, the AC did not seem to be working. Other than that we found the staff very helpful and friendly. Thanks and I am sure we will see you again! the Widener Family 25/02/2010 - A.D.(Spain) Rating Notes 24/08/2010 - S.P.(United States of America) Rating Notes 24/05/2010 - N.V.(United States of America) Rating Notes Had a great time in Rome and this hotel is perfect! Very clean, secure, friendly helpful staff, and very professional. Would stay here again! 23/08/2010 - B.T.(Canada) Rating Notes The hotel came recommended by another canadian family. We booked our reservation on-line which was easy to do. You accommodated our requests which was appreciated and your staff was helpful answering our questions about getting a rental car through email. The only thing we felt was the beds were very hard, the first night was ok but by the third night our backs were sore. 23/08/2010 - A.M.(United Kingdom) Rating Notes 23/08/2010 - M.P.(United States of America) Rating Notes Here is the text from an e-mail I recently sent to info@hotelmascagni.com immediately after our stay: We booked this hotel directly through the Hotel Mascagni website with recommendations from TripAdvisor. We had high expectations of both your staff and your rooms. We normally book with 5 star hotels only, but the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor made us choose Hotel Mascagni over other hotels in Rome. My family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) stayed in #406, the family room. There was no option to book one room for 5, and we were under the impression that this was a suite. Upon arrival, we asked about the possibility of booking a larger room, and also expressed our willingness to book two rooms instead, but we were told that neither was an option. We instead paid the extra fee to have another person in our room. Once we were situated, we found the room to be dirty. There were toenail clippings on the floor, among other things. For a four star hotel and an average of 240 Euros a night, the least we could have asked for was a clean room. Regardless of the cleanliness of room #406, my family was offended by your reception staff. We left for a day trip to Pisa, and one of your staff members asked more than one member of my family if we were leaving without checking out as we were walking out the door. Do you ask all of your hotel guests this as they leave to do some sightseeing? When we returned, a staff member, Stefano, rudely asked if we were staying at this hotel, even after having given us the keys to our room. This member of your staff then proceeded to ask us for documents and proof of our stay in front of a full lobby and other hotel guests. We had already been checked in for 3 days, and we had paid in full when we checked in! Surely, there are better ways to request information from your guests. He could easily have checked your records discreetly; there was no need to demand our documents. Not only is this inconsiderate, but it was embarrassing for my family. We were already in the elevator, and he was yelling to us from the reception desk demanding our "documents." To make matters worse, when we got into our room, it was not clean. We were expecting so much, especially since so many of your guests have recommended Hotel Mascagni so highly. Instead, we are leaving with disappointment and regret over our choice of hotel for our short stay in Rome. Though these complaints do not reflect your whole staff, our experiences were enough to have given us a negative impression of this hotel and had an impact on our vacation in Rome. It is difficult to sleep well and enjoy yourself when you do not feel welcome or secure. In the future, please make sure to treat your guests more kindly. 22/08/2010 - K.K.(United States of America) Rating Notes Luciano and Stefano were especially helpful. Breakfast was very good. My sons stayed in a different room and we both had showers that were not great. Ours was difficult to move and the water came out inconsistently. That was my biggest complaint. My sons also had problems with the shower. I think the water was backing up in the tub. Not sure if that was all but we didn't find out until after a few nights and they didn't want to report the problem. Our shower head was so high that I could not reach it (and I'm not short!) It would have been a big problem if I was alone in the room! Otherwise, we liked the location, everyone was very nice and the rooms were clean and of nice quality. Thank you! 21/03/2010 - L.R.(United Kingdom) Rating Notes A very enjoyable stay Thank you |
